The Data Science Initiative is a hub of collaboration and resources for researchers in every discipline who work with large datasets.
Research Advanced Computing Services
The University of Oregon is home to one of the fastest academic supercomputers in the Northwest, known as Talapas. The high-performance computing center is able to perform more than 250 trillion calculations per second. Researchers at the University of Oregon can access Talapas, and other resources available through Research Advanced Computing Services, for everything from statistical studies to genomic assemblies to quantum chemistry.
Data Services, a program of UO Libraries, can help researchers organize, manage, and curate their data. From creating a data management plan and finding the right kinds of data for your research to software training and assistance, Data Services is here to help you.
Data Science Research Services
Coming Soon - Data Science Research Services (DSRS), housed within the Data Science Initiative, is a group of analysts dedicated to supporting research at UO. DSRS helps faculty members integrate cutting edge methods and best practices, leading to better outcomes and faster results. DSRS is in a soft launch period as analysts Jake Searcy and Emily Beck develop a full catalogue of offerings. DSRS expects to be fully available by January 1, 2021
